SEC Solar Photovoltaic (PV) deep cycle Gel batteries

There are many Stationary Industrial battery manufacturers in the World more than 90% of these companies manufacture AGM batteries for standby applications. However less than 10% of stationary battery manufacturers manufacture both standby AGM and deep cycle Gel batteries. The use of AGM batteries in deep cyclic applications is short sighted because the AGM batteries will fail prematurely indeed the AGM battery capacity will start to reduce from the day of installation.

The use of deep cycle batteries using gelled electrolyte technology is essential for batteries to be cycled daily SEC offer a full range of deep cycle Gel batteries suitable for use with solar.

Typically the 6 volt and 12 volt Monobloc Gel batteries can be deep cycled 500 to 600 x 80% daily cycles. The 2 volt cells use extra heavy duty plates and can be cycled 1200 x 80% daily cycles.

The SEC deep cycle battery range is as follows:

CELLYTE 6-12TLG
General purpose gel Top Terminal Monobloc range with Calcium grid alloy plates and capacities of 20 to 250 Ah. 10 year design life in float service or 500 – 600 x 80% deep cycles to 1600 x 20% cycles.

CELLYTE 6-12TSG
High specification Gel range Top Terminal battery using Tin grid alloy plates and fitted with VRLA Catalysts. Design life 12 years in float service or 500 – 600 x 80% deep cycles to 1600 x 20% cycles.

For larger capacity Solar PV application 2 volt deep cycle Gel cells are used.

CELLYTE 2TLGM
Gel 2 volt cell Gel range Solar PV batteries Calcium grid with capacities of 100 to 1000 ah these general purpose Flat plate cells are fitted with VRLA Catalyst as standard – 15 year design life or 1200 x 80% deep cycles or 2500 x 20% cycles.

CELLYTE 2ETG
Gel European DIN range (OPzV) Tubular plate Solar batteries using Calcium grid alloy these cells with capacity 150 ah to 3000 ah and VRLA Catalyst optional extra – design life 15 years or 1200 x 80% deep cycles or 2500 x 20% cycles
